LEO O., JR., of South Attleboro, MA, died Tuesday, May 15, 2007, after a
brief illness. He was the beloved husband of Eva (Glaude) Caron.Mr. Caron served in the United States Army from 1954-56. He was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, and worked as a Food Production Manager for most of his career at the Pawtucket Memorial Hospital. Upon retirement, he worked for various funeral homes in Rhode Island. He was a proud member of Les Gais Chanteurs for more than a decade. He was a communicant and active member of Our Lady of Consolation for 49 years, and was also an original member of the parish folk group. He was a skilled craftsmen, musician, gardener, and chef. All who knew him loved him. His generous spirit, sense of humor, compassion, and sensitivity for the feelings of others will always be remembered. Mr. Caron is survived by four children: Therese M. Caron and her husband Tony Capraro of Providence; Simone M. Caron and her husband Christopher O'Neill of Winston-Salem, NC; Robert J. Caron and his wife Lia Stuhlsatz of Rumford; and Nicole M. Caron of Cumberland. He was the cherished Pepere of Camille, Quaid, Alden, Eva, Peter Leo, Adela, and Robert John. He also leaves four devoted sisters, Therese Saucier, Claudette Dagwan, Jeanne Thompson, and Simone Caron. Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Consolation Church, Sabin Street, Pawtucket, Saturday at 10:00 a.m. to which relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, Friday, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Leo Caron's memory to Our Lady of Consolation Church, 211 Sabin Street, Pawtucket, RI, 02860. ase contact manning-heffern.com |
